Smartflow to Enable Workflow Automation in Auto Repair Industry

By Auto Tech Outlook | Monday, May 06, 2019

FREMONT, CA: The idea of the business world today is about speeding up the work with minimum human intervention. The result is better time-to-value, reduced costs, lesser workforce. Enterprises and businesses regardless of their domain and region of operation are increasingly implementing automation which streamlines their operations and upswings their profits. While automotive industry has witnessed deeper levels of penetration of automation, the automotive repair industry is not falling behind.

Being a premium provider of integrated solutions for shop productivity solutions, AutoVitals has announced that it has launched a cloud-based solution, SmartFlow, which automates the very steps of their work ranging from booking an appointment for a vehicle through work order processing.  Uwe Kleinschmidt, the CEO of AutoVitals believes the amount of control, monitoring power, and workflow transparency that SmartFlow provides to the shop owner is unprecedented. Building strong communication within the shop as well as with the customers is an added advantage from this cloud based solution, Kleinschmidt adds.

With SmartFlow, technicians can use tablets to go about their job without using paper at any stage of the workflow. The capability to do wide range of tasks with few configuration settings adds flexibility and simplicity.

SmartFlow effectively enables communication between service advisor and technician during initial inspection to create an estimate which is later saved in the form of an SMS. AutoVitals configuration tools enable creation of the list of jobs to be done.

Other benefits of SmartFlow are: Real-time updates of the workflow under progress; enabling best practices for thorough inspection; enabling constant communication through chat in case of any concern in the workflow progress; faster data entry into the digital sheets created within the application for a particular vehicle.
