Brigade Electronics Launches its Fully Managed 4G Cloud Service for Vehicle

Brigade Electronics, a pioneering provider of vehicle safety systems, rolls out a new indicator warning alarm to alert vulnerable road users when a vehicle is turning.

FREMONT, CA: Market-pioneering provider of vehicle safety systems Brigade Electronics launches its fully managed 4G cloud service for vehicle CCTV, BRIDGE, to the market. Vehicle CCTV has proved valuable for fleet operators, with many selecting to equip their vehicles with the technology to enhance safety, support driver training and avoid fraudulent claims.

Having access to footage from vehicles and machinery provides several benefits to companies. These comprise protection from ‘crash for cash’ claims, assisting to deter vandalism, providing peace of mind to passengers, encouraging driver best practice and offering irrefutable evidence in the event of accidents and legal operations.

Brigade’s MDR range of four and eight-channel DVR recorders comprises models with Wi-Fi and/or 4G connectivity, enabling data to be accessed from the recorder without physically entering the vehicle. Brigade’s new BRIDGE Cloud Service takes full benefit of this connectivity by offering a fully managed service for 4G enabled systems so that operators no longer have to deploy and maintain their servers, manage SIMs or manage mobile data.

Having remote access offers many benefits when operating an MDR system. These comprise playback of historical footage and metadata residing on the vehicle MDR, live vehicle tracking, a live view of the vehicle cameras and metadata, such as speed, G-force and activated triggers, several footage download potentials, including automatically saving footage either side of an alarm being activated, geo-fencing, which notifies the fleet manager when the vehicle enter a predefined area.

Fleet manager triggers and send automatic email notifications and can be triggered for several reasons, including accidents, speeding, HDD errors and video tampering. Using Machine to Machine IoT connected SIM cards, which provides greater data priority over a standard phone SIM card, Brigade’s BRIDGE offers fleet operators uninterrupted access to data regardless of network traffic.

The addition of the BRIDGE Cloud Service will assist optimize data management for fleet operators, enabling them to solve issues rapidly and enhance communications between managers and drivers.
