Anchor Harvey Launches Electric Vehicle Workgroup

Anchor Harvey is exploring every part of what it takes to produce electric vehicles, including sedans, trucks, bicycles, motorcycles, and more, to make a major contribution to creating a zero-emissions future.

FREMONT, CA: Anchor Harvey, a data-driven aluminum forging firm that is aiming to set new standards for sustainable transportation has launched an Electric Vehicle (EV) Workgroup. Anchor Harvey’s technological leadership and century-long background in forging materials for the automotive and motorsports sectors was tapped into by the current in-house skills working group. Kerry Kubatzke, an Anchor Harvey innovation and precision forge manufacturing veteran with 35 years of experience, said of the company’s latest EV Workgroup. “We believe delivering high-strength, lightweight electric vehicle components are core to growing our business and creating value for our customers as we work to deliver high-strength lightweight parts for the next generation of transportation,” said Kubatzke.

The news arrives as the U.S., China, and European countries drive manufacturers to produce more all-electric cars. Through the formation of this future-focused workgroup, Anchor Harvey takes its technical ingenuity and proactive mindset to the industry’s forefront. The EV Workgroup allows automotive parts designed for expanded range, not range fear, by making high-strength, lightweight cast-aluminum components like steering knuckles, control arms, suspension components, structural nodes, and more, in support of manufacturers developing the next wave of transportation.

“Anchor Harvey is driven to make the next generation of electric vehicles better, safer, and more efficient, and by doing so, help move the entire transportation industry forward,” said Tom Lefaivre, President, Anchor Harvey. “With the introduction of our EV Workgroup, we are working to push the boundaries of electric vehicle technology, manufacturing, and performance to new levels with stronger, lighter, quality aluminum components. As demand increases for hybrid and fully-electric vehicles, Anchor Harveys Electric Vehicle Workgroup will assist auto manufacturers in delivering a cleaner, safer, and smarter future embodying the company motto, it is not what we make, it is what we make possible.”

Anchor Harvey is exploring every part of what it takes to produce electric vehicles, including sedans, trucks, bicycles, motorcycles, and more, to make a major contribution to creating a zero-emissions future. Anchor Harvey has a strategic advantage in making the precision-forged components that are vital to the performance of both individual electric vehicles and the whole EV sector thanks to investments made over the last few years to integrate cutting-edge data collection technologies, digital monitoring processes, and preventative and predictive maintenance services.
