AI Fortifies Corporate and Individual Security Areas

By Auto Tech Outlook | Monday, April 22, 2019

There is so much euphoria about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the use cases for all walks of life. We need to ensure that AI aspects of security and privacy are adequately considered. To do this, it is important to know the various ways of crossing security and privacy paths with AI fields.

AI can analyze more data wisely than imaginable and make lightspeed decisions saving organizations from brutal attacks. In this kind of world, humans are barely required to run security programs, and their jobs are completely automated out of existence, consigning them to a role as the button-pusher on the particularly critical changes proposed by the otherwise omnipotent AI.

It is necessary to work with the right security-intelligence personnel against all types of attacks to leverage AI to the fullest. Malware and virus attacks in the cyber world are common. Highly skilled hackers are able to trigger the right attacks, leaving no clues about what happened to the company's cyber cell. And AI comes to rescue here. AI lets the network administrators protect against the series of attacks and stay strong.  Another area of cybersecurity that AI can impact is password safety and detection systems for authenticity. AI is used to detect physical properties such as fingerprints, retina scans, etc., making the system safer and more secure than ever before. Biometric logins are the term for such security systems.

Currently, the highest use scenario for AI is to add futuristic shades to traditional security tools, and time-consuming rebranding approaches as pioneering witchcraft that will revolutionize the cybersecurity for business as we know it. The latest AI hype cycle seems to be the roaring, savage crest at the end of a decade that began with bubbly excitement about the information security pledge of "big data".

As AI adds priorities to corporate and individual security areas as well, it also spreads more power in the wrong hands. To give AI more authority for security purposes in the near future, we need to be sure that it only remains with the white hat people. Although AI is still in the phase of development, there is much more to explore. We can classify it as a huge boost or a bane with time.
