Ways Technology Drives the Automotive Industry

FREMONT, CA: As cell phones are now capable of doing more than making calls, automotive can do much more than drive and park. The automotive industry has worked hand in hand with significant technologies to deliver the most advanced, safest, and comfortable vehicles. They are becoming large smart devices with emergency braking capabilities, navigating for autonomous driving, increased fuel efficiency and cars as a service. In the coming years, the industry is expected to progress further with the more connected and digitized environment.

Along with the above technological outbreaks manufacturers are also expecting additive manufacturing to impact the automotive industry. 3D printing will help with mass production, early prototyping and design, influence tooling, and support vehicle service and maintenance. Consumer interest in customization can be served with 3D printing to create a personalized look and feel for a given consumer. Soon buyers may be able to customize the cars according to their individual preferences completely.  

Some of the most exceptional talents in the technology field have armed with automotive companies to improve the way vehicles operate these days. These emerging technologies will create a whole new experience for automakers too. To stay ahead of competition automakers have to re-strategize their objectives and investments in this changing environment. The manufacturers that will prioritize innovation will succeed.
