Cybersecurity is the focal point in the digital age that organizations worldwide are living in. With every innovation, new threats are emerging, even the technologies serving as a panacea are being utilized to carry out cyber onslaughts. As a result, existing cyber laws are experiencing disruptions to which they are adapting slowly. Cyberlaw is an ever-evolving discipline, but the rate of evolution is comparably low to that of cyber threats. The pace at which new age technologies like AI and blockchain traversing in the cyber landscape is unprecedented, but certainly will result in the emergence and consolidation of new cyberlaw trends in the proximate future.

Cybersecurity regulations will consolidate for better and nations worldwide will implement new regulations to bolster their existing national cyber regulatory and policy framework. More precise frameworks will help to regulate cybersecurity-related activities in the digital realm. For countries that still not have cyber regulations have an opportunity to introduce customized cybersecurity policies defining the role of each stakeholder in the ecosystem. Even sector-specific regulations might make their way addressing the issue much effectively.

Further, the emergence of blockchain has given a boost to encryption technologies. More organizations are heading in the direction of encryption which might lead legal authorities to implement encryption regulations. These regulations would force service providers to share backend details of the technology. National-Anti encryption laws have already budded in a few countries which are certain to be reemphasized and regulated strongly.

In the cybersecurity realm, AI is the dominating technology that has been utilized on both ends of the security. Considering the fact that technology lacks morality regulatory authorities will have to introduce new legal policies to address the concerns with the use of AI. An industry code of conduct for AI developers which would be built on a voluntary code of conduct agreed by the cohort of coders is also a possible event of the future.

Moreover, automobile manufactures luring for autonomous vehicles might come across new amendments that will hold them responsible for cybersecurity in the manufacturing process. Driverless car legislations would explore the issue of legal liability of driverless cars in a scenario of accidents and deaths. Cyberlaw domain requires a robust and agile framework to regulate aforesaid and other necessary policies to keep up with evolution pace.
